Installing the Data Academy Website

On Windows Server 2003, open an Explorer window and browse to where the installation files are located. Double-click on the relevant 32 bit or 64 bit user interface Academy_x.xxx.xxx installation file to start the installation.
On Windows Server 2008, click on Start, All Programs, Accessories. Then right-click on Command Prompt and click on Run as Administrator. Use cd c:\LocationOfInstallationFiles\ (e.g. cd c:\Temp\DataAcademyInstallFiles\) to navigate to where the installation files are located. Type Academy_ and press the Tab key, followed by Enter to start the installation.
Click on Next.
In the Virtual Directory box, enter what the site should be called. For instance, to have the site appear at http://thiscomputer/datawarehouse you’d enter “datawarehouse”. Please refer to the Pre-Installation questionnaire to find out what the customer would like it to be called. The default is “dataacademy”.
Leave the “Port” as it is and press Next, then Next, then Close.
Installing Data Academy - Data Services and the Database
For full Data Academy functionality, you must install Data Services on a server which has a full SQL Server installation (includding SSIS and SSAS). (This does not have to be your Academy database server, however.)
On Windows Server 2003, open an Explorer window and browse to where the installation files are located. Double-click on the AcademyDataServices_x.xxx.xxx installation file to start the installation.
On Windows Server 2008, click on Start, All Programs, Accessories. Then right-click on Command Prompt and click on Run as Administrator. Use cd c:\LocationOfInstallationFiles\ (e.g. cd c:\Temp\DataAcademyInstallFiles\) to navigate to where the installation files are located. Type AcademyDataServices_ and press the Tab key, followed by Enter to start the installation.
Click Next.
Enter the path where the customer wants the program to be installed. This is not on the pre-installation questionnaire. Generally the default location will suffice.
Click Next, then click Next, then click Close.
Installing Data Academy - Magistrate Enforcer
On Windows Server 2003, open an Explorer window and browse to where the installation files are located. Double-click on the MagistrateEnforcer_x.xxx.xxx installation file to start the installation.
On Windows Server 2008, click on Start, All Programs, Accessories. Then right-click on Command Prompt and click on Run as Administrator. Use cd c:\LocationOfInstallationFiles\ (e.g. cd c:\Temp\DataAcademyInstallFiles\) to navigate to where the installation files are located. Type MagistrateEnforcer_ and press the Tab key, followed by Enter to start the installation.
Press Next.
Enter the path where the customer wants the program to be installed. This is not on the pre-installation questionnaire. Generally the default location will suffice.
Also, select whether Magistrate Enforcer should be available for everyone on this machine or just for the current user.
Click Next, then click Next, then click Close.
