Academy Software Products today announced the release of Data Academy 6.1 to BETA/UAT.
After much anticipation of when the new UI for DA would be released in V6, today
the new version entered it's UAT phase. New features of the release
include
- A brand new Rich Client Development Interface
- Team Working Server
- Development Version control / Change control
- New Connection contexts
- Further tightening of Errored Data Handling throughout DA

ASPs Product Director, Rob Davenport commented, "This new release of Data
Academy ushers in a new era for Data Academy and its users. We will be
delivering major useability improvements within DA over the coming year, and
this is all thanks to the new WPF based user interface." And he added "At the
same time we have started to process of introducing more management features
within the product to help with project control of the development of DA based

| 12 Nov 2010 - Data Academy 5.6 Goes into BETA |
Academy Software Products today announced the release of Data Academy 5.6 to BETA.
After a lengthy development cycle, Data Academy 5.6 was released to BETA clients.
This new release of the international award winning SQL Server Data Warehouse Building
tool has been received with much excitement and anticipation. New features of the release
include
- User Interface Enhancements
- New MAP-it module
- Additional TRANS-it module functionality
- Combined TRUCKS
- Locked / Armored TRUCKS
- New TRUCK content (tables etc)

| 14 Jul 2010 - ASP Appoints Channel Partner Manager |
| ASP today announced the appointment of Nick Lewis to the position of Channel Partner Manager. "Nick's responsibility will be the development and management of ASP's channel partners," explained Products Director Rob Davenport "He joins us with a wealth of experience both of the BI market and also of setting up software sales channels". ASP will be actively looking for channel partners to re-sell their Data Academy Product Suite, and enjoy the benefits of the increased productivity and supportability that developments using the tool benefit from. |

| 07 Jul 2010 - CUBE-it Zero Gets Local Cube Capability |
| After a massive influx of requests from our their base, Academy software Products today announced that the next version of CUBE-it Zero will contain a 'Local Cube' building capability. "The current version of CUBE-it Zero requires a Microsoft SQL Server and Analysis Services Server to be installed," explained CIZ Project and Development Manager Syd Egan, "this has effectively precluded a huge number of users from enjoying the benefits of OLAP Cubes. So we decided to leverage a local cube building capability in the next version.". This means that the next version of CUBE-it Zero will not mandate a SQL Server installation. Expected release date for the next version is Aug 2010. |
