Data Academy consists of several core modules. Each module
performs a specific task during the construction of your data warehouse.
The full retail version consists of the following modules: LOAD-it, JAIL-it, MAP-it, TRANSFORM-it, STAR-it, CUBE-it (and CUBE-it LITE),
STAR-CUBE-it, GOVERN-it, ORCHESTRATE-it, CHART-it LITE, TRANS-it and SNAPSHOT-it.
For full details on what function these modules perform,
see the online demonstration and videos, this will allow you to select and view individual
modules, and watch demonstration videos of their function.
Meanwhile, below are details of Data Academy's companion products
The companion products which are available for Data Academy are:
- Data Academy Form Builder.
- CUBE-it Zero
As you develop your data warehouse, you may well come across scenarios where you
need to edit or enter data manually.
Data Academy Form Builder allows you to extend your Data Academy data warehouse
with fully functional, customized web forms, which allow you to add, delete and
make changes to the data in your data warehouse.
Data Academy Form Builder is an add-in for Visual Studio 2008, which generates ASP.NET
web forms, which are fully integrated with the rest of your data warehouse environment,
providing a platform for login, control-based security, data input validation and
user interface consistency - including aspects such as grid search/sort functionality
and parent-child data relationships.
Using Data Academy Form Builder is simply a question of pointing it at a data table,
and clicking "Generate". A typical output might be a pair of "list-drill"
forms, with the basic functionality to select, add, edit and delete items from your
data. With all the intelligent defaults provided by Data Academy, this may be literally
all you need to do! But further customization is only a click away, allowing you
to define foreign key relationships which feed through into UI controls as drop-down
lists, to customize titles and labels and even to generate the output as ASP.NET
Web Controls (.ascx) which you can drop into other pages. All of these outputs are
based on Data Academy's own tried, tested and trusted framework, which also
powers the Data Academy User Interface which you use every day!
Finally, because all of the output consists of standard ASP.NET forms and objects,
coded in VB.NET, you even have the ability to actually debug and extend them manually,
which means there is nothing you can't do.
* Level 3 ODBC compliance required.

Whilst not a replacement for a data warehouse, CUBE-it Zero, delivers fully functional
OLAP cubes which need not be SQL Server based, that do not require the foundation
of a data warehouse.
It provides an excellent platform for prototyping user's OLAP Cube Requirements without
having to undertake the process of developing a full end to end warehouse implementation.
BI-Lite CUBE-it Zero is an OLAP Cube builder available in a number of editions,
which brings building cubes within the grasp of anyone familiar with MS Access or
CUBE-it Zero bridges the gap between Access Queries and OLAP CUBES. CUBE-it Zero
extends the reach of OLAP cubes to everyone by enabling the creation of cubes using
a simple 4 step process.
